FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You have a question? Based on the most frequently asked questions by our customers we have compiled these answers. If you do not find the answer to your question, contact us at reservations@neill-wycik.ca.

  • What information is required for check-in?
    Every guest checking in MUST provide government issued identification (with photo) along with a valid credit card for the reservation file. Failure to provide this information will result in being turned away from the Hotel. Valid Identification includes: Passport, Driver's License, Permanent Residency cards, Citizenship cards. Health cards are NOT permitted. Photocopies not accepted.
  • Can someone pay for my reservation?
    If the individual paying for your reservation will not present with you at the time of check-in, a Credit Card Authorisation Form must be completed.
  • What time can we access our room?
    Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. If you arrive early, you can drop off your luggage at the hotel’s front desk. Early check-in is available for CAD 20 at the discretion of front desk staff and management and subject to availability. Neill Wycik Hotel is not responsible for lost or damaged property to items put in storage.
  • What time must we leave our room?
    Departure time is 11:00 a.m. Neill Wycik Hotel does not permit late checkout. The hotel can provide luggage storage free of charge until 11:59 p.m. the day of your checkout. Beyond this point, there is a CAD 5 charge for each bag/luggage stored every 24 hours. Neill Wycik Hotel is not responsible for lost or damaged property to items put in storage.
  • Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?
    The hotel has complimentary Wi-Fi in all rooms and common areas. You can receive access at check-in by visiting the front desk.
  • Is there an elevator in the hotel?
    Yes. The property has 4 elevators.
  • Is your property accessible?
    Unfortunately, Neill Wycik Hotel is not accessible. Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) does not require private residences to be accessible.
  • Is there a workspace in the rooms?
    Yes. Each room is accompanied by a desk and chair. Please note that only overhead lighting is provided in the room (no beside/desk lamps).
  • Does the hotel provide parking?
    Neill Wycik Hotel does not provide parking. We recommend visiting the transportation recommendations listed on the hotel home page for assistance in finding parking. Neill Wycik Hotel is not responsible for theft, damages, availability nor price discrepancies when selecting a parking location.
  • Can we bring our pet?
    Pets are not permitted at the hotel.
  • How many people can stay in a room?
    For single rooms, one guest is permitted. For twin rooms, two guests are permitted. Each room is accompanied by single beds that accommodate one person as per Toronto Fire Code.
  • Can we request an extra bed in the room?
    The Hotel does not offer an extra bed; the maximum number of occupants per room is specified in room descriptions.
  • Do you offer discounts for CAA, COCHF, CHF, and HAC members?
    Neill Wycik Hotel does not provide discounts to any organisation.
  • What are your cancellation conditions?
    Before validating your booking, we encourage you to read the conditions that accompany each of our rates and offers; they have been formulated in detail and without ambiguity to help you make an informed choice. If you have any questions or doubts, please contact us at reservations@neill-wycik.ca. For all reservations, unless explicitly articulated by email, are bound to the Hotel’s 48-hour policy. The 48-hour policy comes into effect from the time of check-in (4:00 p.m. EST). For example, if your reservation is for May 10 at 4:00 p.m., then you must cancel by 4:00 p.m. EST on May 8.
  • Can I smoke in the Hotel?
    No. The Hotel is strictly non-smoking. Smoking is permitted on the 23rd floor roof deck and outside on the street (nine meters from the entrance). Anyone caught smoking on the premises will be fined CAD 500 and have their reservation cancelled without refund and be evicted from the property immediately. Smoking includes cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, and vapes.
  • Do rooms have a safe?
    The rooms do not have a safe. You can request the front desk to temporarily store items when you are not on the property. Please visit the front desk.
  • Where is the nearest airport?
    Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is the closest airport followed by Toronto Pearson International Airport. Please visit the Hotel’s section on transportation options for further information.
  • Where is the nearest station?
    The nearest subway station is College Station (Yonge line) or the Dundas Station (Yonge line). We recommend College Station as it will be less congested than Dundas Station.
  • When is the hotel available for accommodations?
    The Hotel is available May through August each year. We do not provide accommodations September through April. Specific dates are subject to change. We recommend visiting our website in late autumn and early winter for availability.
  • I need to modify or cancel a reservation. Who should I contact?
    Please contact the front desk at 416-977-2320 x. 3040. The front desk is available 24-hours a day during operational months (May – August). You can also reach out for assistance via reservations@neill-wycik.ca both during and outside operating months.
  • How can I book?
    You can book directly on our website or contact us by phone at 416-977-2320 x. 3040. The phone is only available during operating months (May through August). Please do not email reservations@neill-wycik.ca to make a reservation.
  • What methods of payment does the hotel accept?
    The Hotel accepts Visa, Mastercard, and debit. The Hotel accepts CAD and USD cash. USD is accepted at par. All cash transactions are non-refundable. All guests must have a valid credit card on file for incidentals. If you do not have a credit card in your name and are using someone else’s please submit a Credit Card Authorisation form prior to arrival. You can download the form here:
  • Can I extend my reservation?
    Yes. Subject to availability. Please visit the front desk and notify a Front Desk Agent of your extension to ensure you can stay in the same room. No extension is guaranteed to remain in the same room. If you need to change rooms, you will need to checkout at 11:00 a.m.
  • What time is breakfast available?
    Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m. in the Café on the ground floor. Breakfast consists of five items. Additional items can be purchased.
  • Does the hotel have air conditioning?
    The Hotel does not have air conditioning and provides guests with a fan.
  • Can I drink in the hotel?
    Yes. Guests are permitted to drink in their private room and within the common areas inside their unit. No open alcohol permitted in the hallways, stairwells, common areas, and roof decks. Guests found violating this policy could face a CAD 1,000 fine and will be removed from the property without a refund.
  • Does the hotel have cribs?
    The Hotel does not have cribs.
  • What do the rooms come equipped with?
    Each room comes equipped with linens, a towel, toilet paper (bathrooms), a bar of soap, a disposable plastic drinking cup, desk, chair, bed, fan, and bin.
  • Is the tap water safe to consume?
    Yes, you can drink the tap water.
  • Does the hotel provide cookware and dishware?
    While the kitchens are used by students during the school year, the Hotel does not provide cookware or dishware to guests. Guests are permitted to use the facilities if they have their own equipment and supplies. The café does not have equipment that can be borrowed nor rented.
  • Does the hotel have housekeeping?
    Neill Wycik Hotel provides housekeeping between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with turndown service (cleaning the bed) only by request. Turndown is available between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Please speak to the front desk about turndown and all other housekeeping requests.
  • Are visitors permitted?
    The hotel has a strict 1 person per bed policy as per Toronto Fire Code. Guests are permitted to have visitors. Visitors must provide government-issued ID to security every 24-hours. Guests are not permitted to have visitors between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
